FAQ

Tuesday-Friday between 1 and 8pm. Appointment requests outside these hours are accepted on a case-by-case basis.

I take time off around major holidays and for personal time throughout the year.

I schedule time off in advance to avoid surprise cancellations, but emergencies and illnesses still arise. I will provide as much notice as possible.

Clients located in DC, Maryland, and Virginia may see me virtually. Ketamine must take place in my office in Takoma Park, MD. Except for ketamine therapy, any session can take place virtually or in-person, depending on your preferences and my availability.

6930 Carroll Ave, Suite 1050, Takoma Park, MD 20912

My office is in Takoma Park, Maryland, a short drive from Silver Spring, Hyattsville, Langley Park, and Northeast and Northwest DC. The office is located inside the Takoma Care Space, an office suite on the 10th floor. The suite is shared by several other practitioners and the Canopy Family Care medical practice. The office is spacious and decorated beautifully with plants, books, and comfortable furniture. My room is bathed in natural light from large windows overlooking the area.

The office is walkable from the Takoma Park metro station (Red Line) and accessible by many bus routes (check the WMATA app).

**If you are receiving ketamine during an in-office session, you will need to arrange trusted transportation home because it is unsafe to drive afterward. You are welcome to take public transit after a ketamine session, but I recommend arranging a car for your comfort and safety. If you live in the Takoma Park neighborhood, walking home is an option as long as you have someone to walk home with you.**

Due to my malpractice insurance policy, clients receiving ketamine must be at least 18 years old. There are no age restrictions for clients receiving other services, but my office is not set up for play therapy. I take clients 12 and older for regular therapy.

I match best with clients who share at least some of my life experience, but that’s not required. I've worked with a diverse range of clients across age, race, income, immigration/citizenship status, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and more. I also have experience working with folks who are HIV positive.

Some of my clients prefer to focus on anxiety, depression, and specific mental health struggles. Others are focused on having a healthier relationship with drugs and with themselves. Others are more focused on their relationships, including non-monogamous, polyamorous, and other non-traditional relationships.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Sessions w/ Intramuscular Injection (IM)
$485 total for a two-hour psychotherapy session with an intramuscular injection (IM) of ketamine. This includes guided embodied mindfulness practices beforehand, trained therapeutic support for the entire session, ketamine administration, and onsite medical supervision during the appointment.

Three-hour sessions are available upon request for an additional $175. The same amount of ketamine is provided in the 2-hour option. More time is added to the beginning and end of the session for psychotherapy, meditation, art, body work, and other activities to support the ketamine experience.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Sessions w/ Oral Lozenges
If you prefer to use oral lozenges during your appointment, you may get a prescription from the prescriber of your choice and bring that into my office for sessions. The cost on your end is variable depending on the cost of the doctors' visits and the prescription itself. The cost for a two-hour ketamine session using lozenges is $350. Onsite medical supervision is available by request for an additional $175. Medical supervision is required for clients with higher risk health complications including compromised immune systems and severe allergies.
